Marvelous Monday

What else? My grandchildren are here.

I had to go to work for about half the day and when I got home Alice was helping her mommy bake cookies and Ryan was a happy boy all afternoon.

When John got home Alice helped plant tomatoes, peppers and cucumbers.

A very good day.

Marvelous Monday - late

I'll be completely honest. I forgot to post yesterday. I've been so snowed under that I'm having trouble remembering anything for more than a few minutes.

Something good? After several years of drought, we've had a good amount of rain recently. Now the skies are sunny and the weather is warm. We bought flower seed and garden plants on Sunday and we're getting ready to plant. That's pretty good.

Marvelous Monday

This week it's easy - we spent last week with our grandchildren.

I want so very much to be the kind of grandma that Grandma Haught was, but it's so hard when we're 1000 miles apart.

On the other hand, I have much more patience now than I did when M&M were that little. Things that would have thrown me for a loop then make me laugh now.

I'd forgotten

It's been a long time since I tried to do anything while holding a baby, helping a toddler at the potty, and keeping a puppy under control. And I've never done all that while dealing with a cat who wanted the dog to disappear. I don't think I would have laughed while doing it when I had little ones but this morning it was funny.

Marvelous Monday

Yeah, it's late, but it's worth it. This is a marvelous Monday because I'm in the frozen North with my grandchildren.

And it was warmer here than in Atlanta today.

Comcast Updates

1. When John returned our equipment and handed the rep our cancellation letter, he threw it in the trash.

2. I just got our cell phone bill for the month. We racked up over $60 in cell phone charges trying (unsuccessfully) to get Comcast to get our land line working again.

And they had the audacity to call here last week to try to get us to come back.

Suckered once, shame on you. Suckered twice, shame on me. I'm not getting suckered the second time by them. We're enjoying our working phone and internet, and really enjoying the satellite TV reception.
