Springtime in Atlanta
Springtime in Atlanta goes through stages: ridiculous to beautiful to criminy.
Late February through early March was ridiculous. Temperatures bounced from 70+ to sub-freezing in 24 hours. I went camping in February and the weather was beautiful. I went again in March and it snowed all morning. We had to sleep in the basement of the dining hall because the low that night was around 27.
Mid to late March it started getting beautiful. Fish trees, cherry trees, dogwoods, azalias, and daffodils bloom in abundance. Everywhere you look there is color.
Now it's mid-April and criminy has set in. There's still color everywhere, but it's all puke yellow. The pollen count is running 2700 and up and I can't wear my contacts because of it.
